GitHub updated HydraFusion with a new model pool. It now includes Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna. Reasoning effort is now tailored to each step. Cascade workflows can now add a judging step. Critique workflows now use tools and parallel critic models. GitHub also introduced HydraFusion Max. HydraFusion Max applies higher reasoning efforts for demanding tasks. Both options are available in VS Code, the GitHub Copilot app, and GitHub Copilot CLI. Both remain in research preview.
