Google released Gemini 3.7 Flash, an update to its lower-cost model aimed at writing code and running multi-step automated tasks, three weeks after the previous version. API prices are halved until the end of 2026 and then double, so the saving is temporary. Google's own comparisons show it ahead on production coding, document reading and workflow tests but still behind rival models on several others.
