Google released Gemini 3.7 Flash, an update to its lower-cost model aimed at coding and multi-step automated tasks, and halved its API prices until the end of 2026 before they double on 1 January 2027. Google's own comparisons show clear gains over the three-week-old 3.6 Flash and leads on production coding, web layout and workflow automation tests, but rivals from OpenAI and Anthropic still lead several agent and desktop benchmarks. The flagship Gemini 3.5 Pro remains unreleased with no date given.
