Release2026-09-30

Ideogram launched 4.5 as a new image-editing model. It reduces pixel, color and texture changes across successive edits. It preserves edges of edited high-resolution crops for stitching back. The model is live in the Ideogram app, API and launch partners. Open weights will follow. It offers four quality modes. All modes run at native 2K resolution. The company pitches it for refining color and restoring old photos. It also targets precise changes while keeping the rest of an image untouched.

What changed

Repeated edits introduced pixel shifts, color changes and texture artifacts.

What it unlocks

Making many edits to the same image without degrading untouched parts.

  • 0.8¢ to 22¢ per image
  • native 2K resolution
  • 10+ edits without artifact buildup
