Meta donated 1,000 Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses to four Singapore community groups. The groups are Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped, Guide Dogs Singapore, Singapore Disability Sports Council and Gardens by the Bay. Meta also gave a $30,000 USD grant to SAVH for training. The glasses help users read text, identify objects and describe surroundings. Joel Kaplan announced the donation at an accessibility showcase in Singapore. The event included government officials and disability advocates. Training will cover object identification, text reading and voice commands. Meta aims to support independence for persons with disabilities.
