Survey2026-08-31
A survey of 800 business, technology, government and healthcare leaders commissioned by Intel found that most manufacturing leaders expect to run a fleet of robots within five years, while far fewer have a formal plan for managing a workforce that mixes people and machines. The report points to unclear ownership of robotics strategy, plus gaps in skills, safety and scaling. Defence and smart cities showed the widest gap between ambition and readiness.
- 70% expect a robot fleet by 2030
- ~40% have a formal strategy
- 26% preparedness gap in manufacturing
- 800 leaders surveyed
