Sakana AI launched Fugu, a service that coordinates many AI models behind one interface. It comes in four versions: Fugu, Fugu Ultra, Fugu Max and Fugu Cyber. All are reachable through a single OpenAI-compatible API. Customers can exclude specific providers or models from the pool for privacy or compliance reasons. Sakana says Fugu Ultra ranks best or joint-best on five of eight benchmarks it ran. Fugu Max is priced below several rival frontier models on output tokens. Fugu Cyber targets security analysis, vulnerability research and threat investigation. Fugu is also listed on OpenRouter, Vercel's gateway and opencode. It is not available in the EU or EEA while Sakana works on GDPR compliance. The system builds on two ICLR 2026 papers, TRINITY and the Conductor.
