CompTIA published survey findings showing a persistent gap between corporate AI adoption and workforce readiness. Based on a survey of 1,000 business and technology professionals released Tuesday, less than one-quarter of professionals' AI use is tied to business-related activities. More than four in five respondents said they use AI tools several times per month, yet fewer than one-third described themselves as having a high level of familiarity with AI. Seth Robinson, CompTIA's vice president of research, told CIO Dive that employers cannot assume individuals arrive with sufficient applicable AI knowledge, and that responsibility for integrating AI into workflows and creating use cases sits with enterprise leaders. He also urged closer coordination between IT and HR on learning and development.
