Google added meeting recaps in Google Chat. They include a summary, key decisions, action items and artifact links. Recaps appear automatically in the meeting’s chat after the call ends. They are silent and do not trigger unread badges. Any participant can delete the recap card from the chat thread. The original notes document remains in Google Drive. Admins can turn the feature off via existing policies. Rollout began for Rapid Release domains on 16 October 2026. Scheduled Release domains start on 27 October 2026. Recaps are not posted if notes sharing is set to hosts and co-hosts only.
