China’s securities regulator set three new criteria for humanoid robot IPOs. Applicants must show sustainable revenue and commercial orders. Losses must narrow with a three-year forecast provided. They must also possess core technology such as a robotic brain or hands. At least two dozen humanoid-related startups have filed to list in Hong Kong alone. Few if any are expected to meet the new bar. Unitree raised 6.1 billion yuan in its August IPO. Its shares have since fallen nearly 50%. Ubtech’s stock has also dropped over 40% this year. The sector saw 47.09 billion yuan in investment in Q2 2026.
