Reddit is ending support for RSS feeds on 13 November 2026. It cited large-scale scraping and automated abuse as the reason. The company also announced it will end public API access by March 2027. Both moves aim to protect its user-generated content from AI bots. Reddit’s other revenue from data licensing grew 24% year-over-year to $43 million in Q2 2026. Moderators were told to migrate from RSS to the Discord Relay app before the shutdown. No replacement was offered for external RSS feed use. Old Reddit access will be limited to logged-in moderators and recent users. Access will also be restricted to users active in the last six months. Developers must register third-party apps and bots by 12 January 2027 to retain API access.
