Google Cloud and Accenture formed a joint unit to place engineers inside customer organisations. It is called the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group. Google will train up to 1,000 Accenture engineers to build custom applications on Gemini Enterprise. The unit will sit under Accenture, a Google spokesperson said. OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft and Amazon have each set up similar deployment arms this year. Google trails badly on enterprise AI spending share, according to Ramp data. Google disputes that measure, saying Ramp's customers exclude very large enterprises with strategic cloud deals. Accenture has run comparable engineer programmes with Microsoft, ServiceNow and SAP this year. The Wall Street Journal first reported the new unit.
