Meta released Muse Glimmer, a freely downloadable version of its most capable AI model, which it says is nearly identical to the paid Muse Spark model launched in July and can produce code, text and images. Only the model's internal settings are published, not its full underlying code, so it is not fully open source. Muse Spark itself remains paid and closed. Mark Zuckerberg accompanied the release with an essay arguing against concentrating advanced AI in a few companies.
