Walmart will launch Agent Profiles next month. Customers can create dedicated profiles for AI agents in their account. Shoppers can require approval for agent purchases or set a spending limit. Walmart is also beta-testing Agent Gateway for companies and developers. Agent Gateway uses the Model Context Protocol to connect AI systems without sharing personal data. Updated agent terms prevent agents from receiving payment-card information. Walmart emphasizes customer control and transparency in its agentic AI approach.
