Google Workspace admins can now set custom policy text for the Green Room. The message appears before users join Google Meet calls. Admins can include a URL for more policy details. They can choose to show it always or only when recording, transcription, or Gemini notes are active. The feature is off by default. It applies to Business, Enterprise, Education, and Frontline Plus plans. Rollout began on November 2, 2026, with extended visibility.

What you need to act on it

  • admin access to Google Workspace Admin console
  • Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Education Plus, or Frontline Plus plan
  • feature enabled at the OU level under Meet Safety Settings
