Release2026-10-09

Google added Argon to the Antigravity model selector. It offers three context sizes with different quota costs. Argon was first opened to cybersecurity partners on September 30. Paid API and Google AI Ultra users are next in line. Employees are testing a Carbon checkpoint for coding. Carbon is said to match Claude Opus 5.5 for coding. Barium-B is the checkpoint chosen for the public Argon release. Carbon may become a future Argon update or a separate release. Argon could roll out as soon as next week. Google renamed the Antigravity agent to Chief of Staff.
