Release2026-10-22

Google Meet now supports real-time speech translation in 63 languages. It uses automatic spoken language detection. Participants control their own translation settings. Captions sync with translated audio. Translation works on web, mobile and Meet hardware. It is limited to 90 minutes on base plans. AI Ultra plans allow up to 8 hours. Hardware rooms can listen but not translate outgoing speech. It is off by default for end users. Admins can enable or disable it in the Admin console.
