Culture Amp released results of its 2026 AI in HR study on July 22, 2026, based on a survey of 264 HR professionals across multiple continents. Respondents reported using AI mainly for task-level work: content creation (86%), brainstorming (83%) and information synthesis (81%). Fewer than 4 in 10 HR operations have moved into any form of AI automation and only 34% reported using agentic workflows, which Culture Amp described as treating AI as a smart assistant rather than an autonomous agent operating within bounded authority. The survey also found 54% of C-suite leaders overall use AI as an agent, versus 37% of C-suite HR leaders and 16% of individual contributors, and that belief AI can significantly improve how work gets done has declined even as HR takes more ownership of AI strategy. Culture Amp said practitioners who moved past hesitancy report transformation at two to three times the rate of peers.
