skills.sh reached one million agent skills and 280 million installs in seven months. A skill gives an AI agent reusable instructions for a particular job. Vercel launched the registry in January 2026 after Anthropic introduced Agent Skills in October 2025. Software engineering leads listings but only 18% of installs. Business operations, writing and cloud skills get the most installs per listing. Agent workflow skills are the most common among those with 100,000 installs. Nearly half of all skills were installed exactly once. The top 375 skills account for 62% of installs. Seven in eight installs go to skills that work across industries.
