The G20 nations unanimously endorsed a US-proposed framework for governing artificial intelligence. It calls for a lighter regulatory touch toward AI and other emerging technologies. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick announced the endorsement on Wednesday. He spoke at the close of a tech and innovation summit in North Carolina. The Trump administration hosted the event. Bloomberg describes the outcome as a win for the administration and for Silicon Valley. The guidelines are not binding law in any member country.
