Figure signed a compute partnership with Nscale, an AI cloud provider. Nscale will deploy NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform for Figure, with up to 100,000 GPUs. Initial deployment is targeted for the second half of 2027 in Barstow, Texas. Figure committed to an initial block of compute spending, with intent to expand it. Nscale is also making a strategic investment in Figure. The two firms will explore using humanoid robots in Nscale's supply chain. Figure says it is now limited mainly by training data and compute for its Helix model. It recently launched Index, a project to gather humanoid training data. Jensen Huang of NVIDIA and Nscale's CEO both endorsed the deal.
What changed
Figure said its progress was limited by available training data and compute.
