Release2026-09-25

GitHub Copilot in Slack and Teams now uses more conversation context. It can pull from Slack files, attachments and message links. In Teams it can use inline images, forwarded messages and channel history. Copilot checks for similar issues before creating new ones. It adds direct links to new GitHub work and back to the source discussion. Users can switch models for a conversation. In Slack they can set default owners and repositories. Bug fixes improve long tasks, reconnection and duplicate answers. The public preview is live for Business and Enterprise plans. Usage counts against existing Copilot entitlements.
