Anthropic opened a directory submission portal for Claude plugins. Developers can submit MCP connectors or Agent Skills as single or bundled plugins. The portal auto-validates and safety-scans each submission on upload. Developers can track review status and feedback in the same interface. Once approved, they choose when to publish the plugin to the Claude directory. Published plugins show usage analytics and discovery metrics. Plugins support MCP 2.0 and its extensions like MCP Apps and Enterprise Managed Auth. Existing connectors and skills need no changes to keep working. A unified discovery experience will roll out across Claude and Claude Code in coming weeks.
What changed
Plugins were built as standalone MCP connectors or Agent Skills without a unified submission flow.
What it unlocks
Developers can now submit, track, and publish plugins for Claude through a single portal.
