Anthropic retuned the biology filter on its Claude Fable 5 model so that far fewer harmless questions are diverted to a weaker model. Everyday health and educational questions, such as interpreting lab results or understanding symptoms, should now be answered by Fable 5 itself. Requests Anthropic treats as dual-use, including virology, toxicology and molecular design, are still diverted, so professional biology research and drug development remain out of scope.
