AWS and NVIDIA said they will install 2 million more NVIDIA chips across AWS data centres during 2027 and 2028, on top of the million already planned. The expanded arrangement also brings NVIDIA's Vera processors to AWS, adds new GPU-accelerated data processing and search indexing options, and covers a separate build for US government workloads. Most of the capacity commitments are plans for future years rather than services available now.

AWS had previously planned to add more than 1 million NVIDIA GPUs starting in 2026.

Running GPU-accelerated data processing on Amazon EMR and GPU-built vector indexes on Amazon OpenSearch, and using NVIDIA's open Nemotron models through Bedrock and SageMaker.
