Regulation2026-10-13

The U.S. Department of Justice created the DOJ Super Intelligence Task Force. It will safeguard American leadership in super intelligence from misuse by foreign actors, criminals and fraudsters. It will also promote U.S. dominance in the field. The task force will coordinate criminal and civil enforcement, deconflict cases and set priorities. It will serve as the main liaison with the White House Super Intelligence Force. It absorbs the earlier Artificial Intelligence Task Force and its work. Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward and Associate Deputy Attorney General Stephen Weiss will co-chair it. It includes representatives from key divisions including the FBI and National Security Division. Components must notify the task force before opening investigations or finalizing resolutions involving SI. The task force will develop prosecution guidance and advise on legislation to foster SI innovation.

What changed

The Artificial Intelligence Task Force operated as a separate body under Attorney General Bondi.

What it unlocks

A single Department of Justice point of contact for the Super Intelligence Force and other agencies on SI matters.
