Release2026-09-14

Google Meet now shows conference room and meeting location details on its homepage. It prioritizes rooms in the user’s own building. Clicking a room opens wayfinding or campus maps where configured. Clicking a street address opens Google Maps for directions. Room and location details appear prominently for meetings happening now or starting soon. For later meetings, details appear on hover. Multiple rooms or mixed room and address lists show on hover via an overflow button. The rollout began for Rapid Release domains on September 14, 2026. Scheduled Release domains start on September 28, 2026. Admins need not enable the feature. Users must set their working location in Google Calendar to benefit from local room prioritization.
