Apple began beta testing Audio Intelligence features for Apple Watch. The suite includes sound recognition, song identification, Live Rewind and Siri Recaps. Live Rewind lets users replay the last 15 seconds of a conversation as text. Siri Recaps summarizes longer conversations into bullet points. Users must double-press the digital crown to trigger Live Rewind. A chime and animation signal recording to nearby people. Unsaved Live Rewind snippets delete after 30 seconds. Siri Recaps omit sensitive data like IDs and financial details. Recaps auto-delete after seven days unless saved. Processing happens on-device and via Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. The features rely on the S11 chip and secure enclave. Audio is not stored or accessible to Apple. Public beta testing will follow the developer phase.
