Pricing2026-08-06

DeepSeek said on 6 August 2026 that it plans to raise the prices of its programming interface across the board, by what it called a relatively large margin, and told customers to plan usage accordingly. No figures and no start date were given, and a formal plan is still to come. Because DeepSeek publishes its model weights openly, other hosting providers can continue serving the same models at their own prices.

What changed

DeepSeek competed largely on very low API prices, with generous free allowances and peak/off-peak discounts.
