Meta says its Muse AI assistant was built from scratch. It also admits Muse was heavily inspired by OpenClaw. The inspiration extends to workspace filenames and content. Nat Friedman of Meta confirmed the similarity in a public post. He praised OpenClaw’s creator and its design choices. Meta’s goal was to scale a similar experience to billions. Muse has already topped the U.S. App Store. Its early growth outpaces ChatGPT’s mobile launch.
