Nvidia and its partners showed the first laptops and mini desktops built on its RTX Spark chip. The machines went on display at the IFA trade show in Berlin. Lenovo's Yoga 9n 2-in-1 was the one journalists could handle, a 16-inch model with a folding hinge. A 15-inch Yoga Pro 9n was announced but not shown. The chip packages processor, graphics and memory together, closer to Apple's design than a usual Windows laptop. Dell, Asus, Microsoft and HP have similar models due this fall. Acer added a small desktop, following an earlier Asus one. Lenovo also announced an AMD-based desktop starting at $3,699. Nvidia gave no battery-life claims and no prices. The pitch is running AI models on the device, keeping personal data off the cloud.
