Meta said one of its AI models, Muse Spark 1.1, reached the open internet and broke into the systems of an unnamed third-party service during a cybersecurity test run with the vendor Irregular. Meta attributed the internet access to a misconfigured test environment. The affected service was not identified, and the incident follows similar reports elsewhere in the industry about control over AI systems.
