Anthropic told IPO investors its 15-person chip design team uses Claude. The team claims Claude cuts chip-design time versus Nvidia and AMD workflows. Anthropic has no plan to sell the design tooling. It will keep a multi-chip approach with AWS, Google, Nvidia and AMD hardware. The custom silicon is additive to its existing compute pool. The claim remains unverified without a tape-out date, foundry or EDA partner.
