Omnara released an open-source managed agent platform. It is a self-hostable alternative to Claude Managed Agents and OpenAI Agents API. Users can run AI agents on any model and any machine. Tools, secrets, permissions, and streaming are built in. It can be self-hosted for free under Apache 2.0. Omnara Cloud is also available. The platform supports any compatible model provider. It includes built-in tools for shell commands, files, and web operations. Agents can use multiple machines at once. Every agent step is saved for durability.
