Google launched a Connected Apps Platform for developers. It lets them build one app for both Search and the Gemini app. Developers integrate via cloud-hosted or Android MCP using AppFunctions APIs. They register, test and submit apps in the Google Connected Console. Apps can go live in Search, Gemini or both. Developers track traffic, latency and error rates after launch. Over 50 Connected Apps are already live. New partners include Adobe, Calm, Experian, Localiza and Peloton. Access is opening in phases. Documentation is at developers.google.com/connected-apps.
