GitHub introduced GitHub-verified MCP servers for Copilot. They let users connect a service once and use it everywhere. At launch, 26 services are supported, including Slack, Figma, and Notion. Connections work across Copilot app, CLI, VS Code, cloud, and mobile. Copilot uses connected tools when they are relevant to a request. Admins must enable preview features for Business or Enterprise plans. Some services need their own admin approval. The feature is in public preview for all Copilot plans.
What changed
Users had to find an MCP server, set up sign-in, and repeat for each tool.
