Google Vids now lets users upload an image to create a custom avatar. They can choose an image from their computer, Drive, or Photos. Users can refine the image within Vids to clean up backgrounds or lighting. Custom avatars are saved to the Vids project for reuse. The feature has no admin control. Rapid Release domains began seeing it on October 30, 2026. Scheduled Release domains will get it starting November 20, 2026. It is available to most Business, Enterprise, Education, and Consumer plans.
