Nvidia is investing $3.5 billion in MediaTek, a Taiwanese chip designer. Nvidia will buy bonds that can convert into MediaTek shares. The two companies confirmed the deal in a joint statement on Monday. It is Nvidia's largest direct investment outside the United States.
