Cloudflare announced Wallets, a way to give AI agents their own funded payment account and a readable name that merchants can recognise. Account owners will be able to create sub-wallets for agents with an allowance, an allow list and a per-transaction cap. Only the name claim is available now; paying for services is described as coming later, in supported countries and using stablecoins.

What changed

Agents had no stable identifier or native payment method, so signup, payment and API keys fell back to a human.

Giving an AI agent a spending-capped sub-wallet so it can buy APIs, tools and content without a human account setup for each one.

  • handle claim at cloudflare.pay; payment functions not yet live
  • supported geographies for adding and withdrawing funds
