Anthropic restored access to Claude Fable 5 worldwide on 1 July after the US government lifted export controls that had forced a full suspension on 12 June. Mythos 5 came back only for a set of approved US organisations. The retrained safety filter that blocks the reported bypass also flags more harmless coding and debugging requests, which are redirected to Opus 4.8.

Both models had been fully suspended for all users since 12 June after US export controls took effect immediately.

Using Fable 5 again worldwide on Claude.ai, Claude Code, Claude Cowork and the Claude Platform, with a retrained filter blocking the reported bypass.
