Jill Hazelbaker is leaving Uber to become OpenAI’s chief corporate affairs officer. She will oversee global communications, corporate brand and positioning. She will also manage social media, cultural partnerships and public trust efforts. Hazelbaker previously led marketing, communications, policy and safety at Uber. She will report to OpenAI president Greg Brockman. Brockman cited her judgment and leadership in global-scale technology. Hazelbaker called AI the most profound technological shift of our lifetime. She said building public trust has never been more consequential.
