Dollar General is rolling out AI planning software across its North American operations. It has partnered with Relex Solutions, a supply chain planning vendor. The system will handle store replenishment, ordering schedules and lead times. It also covers supplier coordination and fulfilment methods. Sales patterns and other demand signals feed directly into planning. Distribution centres and stores will work from the same data. An executive says forecasting, replenishment and allocation now sit in one environment. Chief executive Todd Vasos said the company is still early in its AI work. He described building agentic operating systems to reshape internal workflows. Lowe's expanded its own Relex partnership in April, with full rollout due in early 2027.
