Bilal Chughtai resigned from Google DeepMind and warned that AI could "kill us all". He posted the message on X and LinkedIn on Monday. He said he worked on AI safety and alignment at the Alphabet-owned lab. He also said he is extremely concerned by the technology's default path. Chughtai argued that time is running short to prevent widespread harm. Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment. He is the latest staffer at a leading lab to raise such concerns publicly. Bloomberg reported the departure.
