Release2026-10-07

Google launched Playground, a browser-based tool for making games from text prompts. It requires no coding experience. Users can share games via a link or publish them to a public gallery. Select genres will support leaderboards and multiplayer. Google One subscribers get higher weekly token limits. Playground uses Google’s foundation models paired with a custom harness. Google and Unity also announced Unity Spark, a professional-level AI game-making tool. Spark games will be shareable on Playground. Spark enters closed beta later this year with a waitlist opening today.
