Forecasting Research Institute launched LEAP, a three-year expert panel on AI. It tracks views of computer scientists, industry professionals, policy researchers and economists. Participants submit thousands of forecasts monthly on recurring and one-shot questions. Reports synthesize expert consensus, disagreement and emerging trends. The initiative aims to inform decision-makers in government, industry and civil society. It provides near-term, resolvable forecasts for policy, strategy and risk management. LEAP is run by FRI with support from Princeton AI Lab. It is funded by Coefficient Giving and Craig Falls.
