Uber said only four people booked a ride using an AI agent during its busiest week last quarter. Uber Eats saw 500 orders placed by AI agents in the same week. The company handled around 320 million trips and orders that week. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi called the traction very limited so far. He noted the average ride booking takes 50 seconds in the app. Re-ordering food takes 90 seconds. Khosrowshahi remains bullish on AI agents as a future demand driver. He said every major AI system company is in talks with Uber. The figures come from Uber’s third-quarter earnings call.
