Evri launched Europe’s first two-legged delivery robot. The trial runs in Barnsley, the UK’s first government-backed Tech Town. The robot can carry up to 15 kg and travel at 6 km/h. It navigates stairs, uneven surfaces and delivery vans. It supports attended and unattended parcel drop-offs. Evri will test its performance in residential areas. The pilot aims to add choice and convenience for customers. It may improve operational efficiency for couriers. Refined Robotics supplied the robot. Barnsley’s role as a tech hub is reinforced.
