Cristiano Amon says AI companies are starting to make phones. Some want a 100 billion parameter model running on a phone all day by 2028. He gave ByteDance’s Doubao phone as an example. Phones hold personal context and sensor data that agents need. Amon sees OpenClaw as proof of the AI smartphone idea. Memory prices rose five to six times this year. The smartphone market fell 20 percent as a result. Mid-range and cheaper phones were hit hardest. Amon expects smart glasses to reach 50 to 60 million units. Qualcomm will open-source its Modular platform for any chip. 6G demonstrations are planned for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
