U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick will hold on-stage conversations with OpenAI's Sam Altman and Nvidia's Jensen Huang at the U.S.-led G20 Innovation Ministerial in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on 1–2 September. The Commerce Department and the White House science and technology office are co-hosting, with trade and technology ministers from countries including Japan, South Korea, India and Saudi Arabia attending. Altman is expected to preview coming AI advances, though no policy outcome has been announced.
