Google announced a new policy for K-12 schools. AI products will be turned off by default for student accounts. Schools must enable them to keep access. Schools that block AI entirely will lose Google Search. Google says Search and AI are deeply integrated. It will share more details with schools before rollout. Guided Learning is now available in Google Classroom. Google plans to test Guided Learning in Search at select U.S. schools later this month.
