Release2026-09-22

Google Meet adds a new admin setting for automatic note-taking. It lets admins turn it on only for meetings with three or more guests. Business Standard and Business Plus plans have it on by default. Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Frontline Plus and Google AI Pro for Education have it off by default. Admins can change the setting in the Admin console. End users can also enable note-taking only for meetings with three or more guests. The setting takes effect on September 29 2026. Previous Gemini Alpha participants may already have it enabled. Admins should review their current state before the rollout. The rollout is an extended one for both admin and end user settings.
